Trend Report: Houndstooth


S/S 13 catwalks were overloaded with geometrical prints and black & white combinations (think Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and Prada). Winter may have almost gone but its typical B&W pallet and precise prints are stretching into spring. 
I wanted to step out from stripes and checks which I'm sure will be given to us in excess by the mass-production of Zara, H&M, Bershka, etc. Instead I turned to the classy and oh-so-90ies houndstooth print. It's fun and easy to play with. And what else does a girl need for the happy fashion moments? 

Геометричные принты и чёрно-белые комбинации в избытке представлены в коллециях весна-лето 2013 (на ум сразу приходят Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga и Prada). Может зима уже и закончилась, а типичные для неё чёрно-белые сочетания и чёткие принты явно не собираются покидать "сцену" и медленно перетекают в весну.  
Мне захотелось отойти от полосок и клеток, которые успеют намозолить нам глаза, благодаря массовому производству магазинов Zara, H&M, Bershka, и т.д. Я же обратила свой взгляд на классический и так-напоминающий-мне-90ые принт гусиная лапка. Он интересен и многогранен, что позволяет создать бесконечность запоминающихся образов.

  1. It's a beautiful print indeed! I don't have anything in that print and for some reason it doesn't really feel very "me" (yet) but I still like it a lot. and it suits you so well! I love these gloves with that little bow - these would me very my cup of tea, for sure!

  11. Да уж! С таким принтом не заскучаешь!Раньше обходила стороной витрины с "гусиной лапкой", но раз все же примерила платье с неказистой геометрией... и решила: разлучатся с таким узором не буду!Создает особый шарм и напоминает о черно-белом прошлом с маминых фотографий!

  16. definitely a great print but for some strange reason I don't have anything houndstooth. at least as far as I remember but my wardrobe is pretty much endless so anything could happen when I dive in there :P
    your houndstooth pieces are wonderful btw, I especially love those booties and gloves. I would even wear those together, I think :)
