While there definitely is a wide variety of online boutiques and shops catching our eye in the web, it is difficult to find the one which makes a perfect match with the wishes, wallet content and moreover provides reasonable delivery dates (who wants to wait up to two weeks for a pair of precious new stilettos or a gorgeous brand-new purse?!)

Being a shopaholic and a blogger, for whom shopping is an obviously “must”, helped me to narrow my search and find the one - the ultimately perfect online shop. I was eyeing nelly.com for a while but only since recently it ships goods to the Netherlands which from now on allows me not only to window-shop (oh my poor credit card!). Nelly.com offers a great variety of clothes and accessories, and yes, some seriously gorgeous shoes. My not-so-secret obsession with footwear skyrocketed when I saw that Nowhere (the brand of the incredibly talented Swedish blogger Elin Kling), Filippa K, Bronx, Jeffrey Campbell , Steve Madden, Tiger of Sweden, Boss Orange and many other fantastic brands are in my reach on nelly.com

Besides, there are a lot of fabulous pairs under the Nelly label.  Here are my picks from the Nelly’s collection which I based on this season’s biggest trend – ankle-strap shoes. Any of these beautiful pairs combines both statement and style and creates an ideal finishing touch to all your flirtatious summer dresses.

Travelling: Paris Diaries Part I

There were a lot of words said about Paris in books, poems, movies and even paintings: "Paris je t'aime", "Midnight in Paris", "Last Tango in Paris", "Arch of Triumph", "Notre-Dame de Paris" to name a few.  I'm wondering whether the same lines will be ever repeated when Paris is discussed. The city is incredibly reach with history, culture, inspiration, people and atmosphere. By now I've been in Paris for quite some times (see here one of my previous trips) and every single time it doesn't fail to surprise me and create a totally different impression on me.
It was absolutely magnifique and mysterious at a damp and warm night. It revealed its face from previous era's when I stepped onto a market full of antique furniture and vintages jewellery and clothes. Fabulous gowns from the 20-ies, 30-ies and 50-ies completely overwhelmed my fashionably fragile mind. There is no second place in the world where you can buy Hermes, Celine, Dior, YSL, Chanel for such a price! I've scored a vintage Celine clutch and scarf and an YSL brooch for ridiculously little money.
Paris wakes up a gourmet in every person. By only looking at delicious macarons my stomach twists in a sweet anticipation. 
I got a feeling like I was in a movie, let's say Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" when I saw a girl dancing on the steps of a church in the rain. A romantic, spellbinding, a true Parisian scene.

Про Париж сказано много. "Париж, я тебя люблю", "Полночь в Париже", "Последнее танго в Париже", "Триумфальная арка", "Собор Парижской Богоматери", пожалуй, можно перечислять до ночи. Я иногда задаюсь вопросом, возможно ли найти в литературе или кино две абсолютно одинаковые строчки, описывающие этот город. Думаю, нет, настолько Париж богат историей, культурой, людьми, атмосферой, вдохновением, что он стал неповторимым в прямом смысле этого слова. Я уже не раз бывала в Париже (здесь отчет об одной из моих поездок), и каждый раз город не перестает удивлять и впечатлять меня.
В этот раз Париж был абсолютно загадочным и magnifique в теплоте сырой ночи. Он открыл мне свои лица прошлого, когда я ступила на рынок полный антиквариата и винтажной одежды. Невероятно красивые наряды 20-х, 30-х и 50-х годов поразили моё падкое на моду воображение. В мире нет второго города, где можно купить Hermes, Celine, Dior, YSL, Chanel по такой смехотворной цене. Мне посчастливилось стать обладательницей винтажного шёлкого шарфа и клатча Celine, а также нежной и изысканной броши YSL. 
Париж будет в человеке истинного гурмана. От одного только взгляда на восхитительные macarons мой желудок сжимается в сладком предвкушении. 
Завершающим штрихом образа Парижа была девушка, танцующая балет на ступенях заброшенной церкви под дождем. Завораживающая сцена, имеющая место быть только в Париже.

Mulberry A/W 12 Ad Campaign

The Mulberry A/W12 advertising campaign launches this Sunday. The campaign features stunning american model Lindsey Wixon (already seen in the brand's S/S12 campaign) and two giant, sometimes scary, sometimes sweet, furry creatures. The campaign shot in the gloomy forests of Surrey, England was inspired by the fairy tales and fantasies of the brand's creative director Emma Hill (whom I admire incredibly). The result: dreamy,  dark and utmost romantic ads.

Лицом компании стала невероятно чувственная и соблазнительная американская модель Lindsey Wixon (на счету которой уже имеется весенне-летняя рекламная компания того же бренда), а также два гигантских, иногда пугающих, иногда трогательных лохматых существа. Неприветливые леса графства Суррей (южная Англия) стали местом действия компании, навеянной страшними сказками и пугающими фантазиями Эммы Хилл, креативного директор легендарного бренда. Результат: сказочные, мрачные и невероятно романтические образы.

Trend report: Summer Sunnies

Weather it's a pair of aviators or oversized à la Jackie O, whether you have them in tortoise or in neon pink, whether they are of a cat-eye or a round shape - sunglasses is an IT item which adds a cool and stylish vibe just by being there, on your nose. 

Sunglasses (aka sunnies or shades) went beyond being the eyes' protection or accessories. They've become a way to express your personality (or to keep it incognito). For many a pair of favourite sunglasses has as much meaning and value as a pair of Manolo for Carrie Bradshow. 

For designers, on the other hand, sunglasses turned into an additional method to set a trend which basically means to earn some extra dollars. This trap is dangerous for ours, consumers' wallets as any other designers' "dear-public-this-item-is-so-hip-right-now-that-you-have-to-buy-it-straight-away" joke. 

When it comes to choosing a pair of shades I personally tend to neglect any trends and opt for what suits my face shape, skin & hair colour and my mood. Here are some of my all time favourites.

Солнечные очки превзошли своё первичное предназначение защиты для глаз и аксессуара, став способом выражения личности (или, если хотите, способом сохранения вашей личности инкогнито). Для многих любимая пара значит так же много, как туфли Manolo Blahnik  для Кэрри Брэдшоу.

Для дизайнеров же, с другой стороны, солнечные очки стали еще одним способом установить моду, тренд, что в свою очередь означает заработать лишних денег. Такая ловушка настолько же опасна для наших кошельков, как и любая другая шутка дизайнеров из серии: "эта вещь настолько в моде в данный момент, что вы, дорогой мой потребитель, просто обязаны купить ее немедленно ". 

Когда дело доходит до покупки новой пары солнечных очков, я не обращаю внимание на тренды, а выбираю наиболее подходящие моей форме лица, цвету волос и кожи, и настроению. Ниже представлены одни из моих самых любимых солнечных очков.

My looks: stealing from my boyfriend's closet

So this is it, the Dutch summer. As you see I'm wearing panties and a wool sweater. However I'm not the one to be complaining. Because of the bad weather I had a chance to make a quick visit to my boyfriend's closet  which I do not on a regular basis still it brings a quality damage of a first-class thief to the content of the closet. 

The appeal of a boyfriend's clothes to girls is not a secret any more, thanks to unisex style and the Man Repeller. Personally I find way more stylish preppy (which I have a soft spot for) pieces in men collections than in women's. Besides there is a romantic sentimentality in having something from your beloved man on your wrist or shoulders. 

So watch out boys, keep your clothes properly locked from your girlfriends!

Вот это и оно, голландское лето. Как вы видите, на мне шерстяной свитер и колготки. Хотя, у меня нет повода для жалоб. Холодная погода дала мне шанс наведаться в гардероб моего молодого человека. Что я делаю нечасто, но зато с ловкостью первоклассного вора. 

Притягательность мужской одежды для женщин уже ни для кого не секрет благодаря стилю унисекс и блогу the Man Repeller. Лично я нахожу намного больше оригинальных вещей в мужских коллекциях нежели чем в женских. Кроме того есть что-то романтически сентиментальное в "заимствовании" одежды у любимого мужчины.

Так что, мальчики, настоятельно рекомендую держать ваши шкафы на замках!:)

Celebrating 1 year of Fashion-Bridge

It's not my wedding day (do you seriously think that I'd get married like this?:)), but it's a big day for me! Exact one year ago Fashion-Bridge was born. I started my blog with a foreword . I could not even imagine where it'll take me. Through this first year of my blog I had a lot of amazing moments. I could share my thoughts about fashion and my style, I did my first publications in the magazines, I travelled a lot and got to share my travelling experience, I received a great amount of positive feelings and energy, I got a chance to cooperate with  the wonderful brands and talented young designers, but the most important I met through my blog and the fashion blogging community a lot of amazing people, you who inspire me, who keep my blog going, who make me smile every day, whom I admire enormously! Thank you all so much for a wonderful year! I truly appreciate each and single of you! 

Thank you for changing my life!:)
And special thanks to my amazing boyfriend without whom this blog would not exist.

When June comes I immediately take off on the endless journey of my imagination picturing all the pleasures of the right-behind-the-corner-vacations. Long sunsets above the exotic places in the far-away countries, beach get-aways with the melting sun in the blue sky, the strolls in the shadows cast by skyscrapers during the most adventurous city trips.

I think we all dream about these holly minutes when our bodies and minds are finally one and happy in the thrilling ecstasy of approaching freedom and fun.  

Summer pumps up not only my imagination but my wardrobe as well. Each year the outfits are inspired by different destination points drawn on the world map and by incredible designers from the past and present. However there is always one constant determining the life of my summer wardrobe - comfort. 
This year I'm charmed by Morocco and Mexican prints which both peacefully co-exist in my outfits. Another inspiration comes from the timeless  Hermès  designs. Think white cotton, colourful silks and leather in neutral shades. A universally beautiful cotton shirt dress, accessories in warm, earthy colours, oriental jewellery and a retro touch created by the 50ies inspired cat eye sunnies - these is my perfect look for this summer.

С приходом июня мое воображение отправляется в бесконечное путешествие образов и картинок, сладко обещанных грядущим летом. Ленивые закаты над экзотическими пейзажами в далеких странах, тающее солнце в голубом небе у моря, долгие прогулки в тени, отбрасываемой небоскрёбами, в опустевших городах. Думаю, мы все мечтаем наяву о тех блаженных минутах, когда душа сливается с телом в щекочущем экстазе приближающейся свободы и веселья. 

Лето вливает новую жизнь не только в моё воображение, но и в мой гардероб. Каждый год я создаю новые образ, навеянные разными  странами и континентами, и талантливыми дизайнерами прошлого и настоящего. 

В этом году я очарована узорами Марокко и Мексики, которые мирно сосуществуют в моих повседневных нарядах. Другой источник вдохновения - безвременные дизайны дома Hermès. Подумайте о белом хлопке, цветном шёлке и коже в землисто-коричневых тонах.   Мой идеальный образ этого лета - универсальное платье-рубашка, аксессуары природных цветов, восточные украшения и, как завершающий штрих, очки-бабочки в стиле 50-х годов.

Меньше чем через 10 дней я направляюсь в Париж. Так что не отключайтесь, мои летние образы и фотожурнал из Парижа будут непременно!
