My looks: Berlin Evening

I have lots of pictures from Berlin awaiting to be posted. Truly I don't know when I have time to get through all of them. But I promise, the most worthy will find their place here on the blog. In the meantime check out my Instagram @fashionbridge where I post a LOT!:)
This is what I wore during the first night out in Berlin. Gosh, I already miss that wonderful weather...

Travelling: Berlin Day 1

The first day in Berlin was marked by an abnormal warm weather, catching up with the sun, doing a lot of sight-seeing-oh-so-touristic-stuff and trying to get what is Berlin, which I didn't quite get yet. I guess it takes way longer to uncover  a city of such complicated past. The ghost of History hunts me here..  I'm off for our day numero dos!
Xx

In the "Wardrobe" of Mevan Kaluarachchi

What will you get if you mix smart, comfortable, playful and classy? Right, the very versatile and timeless wardrobe.

“Wardrobe” is a collection of my friend and a brilliant Rotterdam based designer Mevan Kaluarachchi. “My new menswear range is a single collection for both summer and winter – in other words an entire wardrobe of clothes for all seasons”, says Mevan. It’s Kaluarachchi’s second collection in a row launched under the same name and designed for men who are looking not for “trendy-at-the-moment” pieces but for stylish and quality clothes with a twist of playfulness. The collection stands out for its slim silhouette, natural fabrics of remarkable quality, clean lines and details accentuation. Taking shape in unfussy, smart separates, and mixed and matched with different elements to suit the season, “Wardrobe” is anything but prim. “My ‘Wardrobe’ range gives men license to wear their favourite clothes all year round…It also caters for discerning men who don’t want start from scratch every Spring and Autumn, but prefer to invest in quality, comfort and luxury that will last”? says the designer.

“Wardrobe 2012” collection was presented on April 20st in Rotterdam during the Salonè dellaModa event. The collection can be found at http://www.mevankaluarachchi.com/

Milania Collection - from Hollywood with Love

Milania Jewelry collection by T. Dean

"Made In The Land of Glitz & Glam" this is how Tiffany Dean, a Hollywood Fashion Stylist and since recently a designer, introduced her new jewelry line, Milania Collection. Looking at Milania I would add “made with love and passion” but for anybody who knows Tiffany this is the matter of course. Tiffany Dean, born and raised in Hollywood, is a well-known Celebrity Stylist (she worked with Katy Perry, Denzel Washington, Whitney Houston, Queen Latifah, Busta Rhymes, Sean Kingston to name a few)  who to everyone’s delight has decided to take her passion and affection for fashion one step further. “I created this line for the everyday fashionista! There is a missing market for great jewelry pieces that don't break your bank account! I wanted to create a fashion forward, high end brand at a great price. I am a Celebrity Fashion Stylist so I have an amazing eye for fabulous things”, says Tiffany. Even a quick look at the collection let’s you realize that Dean doesn’t underestimate her sense of style and fashion. Milania will be doubtlessly appreciated by fashion lovers. Each piece is a statement with a relatively wallet-friendly price tag. Prices range from $45 to $350. Dean has a true passion for fashion and it definitely reflects in her collection. “I was inspired by my love for fashion, accessories and my little fashionista daughter”, says Tiffany. The line was named in honour of Tiffany’s 4 years old daughter Milan whom the designer named after one of the fashion capitals of the world, Milan, Italy. “That’s how deep my love runs for fashion”, smiles Dean.

I asked Tiffany whom she had in mind while designing her first jewelry collection. “The Milania girl is definitely a fashionista. She has a very strong passion for fashion! A girl that truly loves to stand out and make a splash! She is a trend setter, and has the confidence to try new things. She is a fashionista who loves to shop online. Her age range is from a teen to a well-seasoned woman. There are no barriers on the Milania girl.”

In my opinion, the opinion of a jewelry addict, the collection is very well made. And though the Hollywood tendency to fall for glitz and glam is obvious in Milania, I could definitely picture myself wearing most of Dean’s designs. Plus once in a while every girl wants to be a Super Star or Cinderella-turned-Princess if you wish. That thanks to Milania became way easier. From Monday April 23rd the collection is available world-wide on www.milaniacollection.com

In the meantime you can enjoy the little sneak-peek.

My looks: White and classy

I find this look very unfussy, classy and definitely white. It's another example of my daily uniform and how I don't get tired of stocking on the versatile, long-lasting, in other words QUALITY jackets.
_____________________________

Whatever I'm doing here I find this photo pretty hilarious:)

I'm wearing: shirt Sinequanone, jeans Calvin Klein, jacket Mango, shoes Bershka, bag vintage Hermès Kelly, scarf Hermès, necklace TopShop, ring Mi Moneda, bracelets: Ettika, Mulberry, Swarovski, vintage.

Let’s talk about flats

Lanvin ballerinas
The “Shoes-Women” relationships are very complicated relationships in their core. In the duo shoes-myself high heels mostly monopolized the notion “shoes” suppressing all other representatives of this species and developed a massive influence on me. That is obvious from My Looks posts ( case in point here, here and here). I do not intend to talk shoes in general in this post. I have already done it (check out here). Plus if you are really interested in the physiological reasons behind women’s addiction to shoes, Leandra from the Manrepeller explored it better that any adherent of Freud or Jung.

Leaving my masochistic (better to say footochistic) habits for a while and giving my poor little feet rest I drag a lonely pair or two of flats from my closet full of high heels. It’s pretty ridiculous to see how little of flat shoes I have in comparison with a monstrous amount of high heels. The rare happy moments my feet have are owned to the babies below. And yes, I even have a small wish list. Very tiny wish list which contains one pair of Lanvin ballerinas. But hell they are worth wishing for and spending money on!
