I’m super excited to present another feature on Fashion-Bridge. In the February issue of AZ magazine you can find not only photos from the blog but also a piece written by me and dedicated to my progressive bags obsession.  It was incredibly fun to write for a magazine again (another publication of me in Grazia magazine you can find over here).

И снова моя улыбка походит на улыбку кота Матроскина. Причина - новая публикация Fashion-Bridge. На этот раз фотографии с блога и самолично написанный текст были опубликованы в февральском номере журнала AZ. Было невероятно интересно и волнующе снова писать для журнала (мою предыдущую статью можно найти здесь ).

My looks: shades of blue

This outfit was inspired by one of the latest Miroslava’s looks. Actually I am absolutely not a fan of denim on denim looks. However we all change with time, so did I. I like the appeal of comfortable chic and a bit of “American dream” feel about this look. Besides it was fun to dress up the by adding accessories the very simple denim combination.

Trend report: So very pastel

Arrival of the pastels’ invasion was of no big surprise to anybody. After a pleasantly crazy year of vivid and neon bright colours it was inevitable that sweet, tender and very feminine hues are next to rule the world, at least the world of fashion. And however under the indelible impression of currently shown Fall 2012 collections my mind is mostly preoccupied with futuristic designs of Miuccia Prada, leather dominance in Theyskens’ Theory, “Town meets Field” attitude of Christopher Bailey and the rich, natural palette seen at Gucci catwalk I couldn’t ignore the pastels call. 

The secret behind the pastels appeal is freshness, youth, femininity and dreaminess they bring. Dusty blue reminds the sky which you gaze upon through the squeezed eyelashes lazily laying on a beach. Mint green is as fresh and delightful as a mojito in a heat of a summer day. And could there be anything more elegant, romantic and lady-like than the shades of powder pink? However sometimes it’s way more simple than that and colours are just colours, and fashion is fashion to be simply enjoyed. So let the inner princess go and blossom in the pastel spring.

Нашествие пастельных оттенков не стало ни для кого большим сюрпризом. После приятно сумасшедшего сезона ярких, неоновых цветов воцарение в мире женственных, нежных красок было неизбежно… по крайней мере в мире моды. И хотя под неизгладимым впечатлением от показываемых в настоящий момент коллекций осень-зима 2012 мой ум больше занят футуристическими дизайнами Миуччи Прада, доминированием кожи в показе Theyskens’ Theory, настроением “ Город и Поле” в коллекции Кристофера Байлей и палитрой насыщенных, природных красок, представленных Домом Gucci, я не могу игнорировать призыв пастели.

Секрет привлекательности данных оттенков - женственность, молодость и мечтательность, которые они в себе несут. Светло-голубой напоминает небо, на которое смотришь сквозь полуприкрытые ресницы, лежа на лениво теплом пляже. Мятно-зеленый такой же свежий и приятный, как мохито в зной летнего дня. А что может быть элегантнее, романтичнее и женственнее, чем оттенки бледно-розового? Хотя, иногда все намного проще фантазии, цвета являются всего лишь цветами, а мода остается просто модой, чтоб ею наслаждаться, и ничего больше. Так что будите свою внутреннюю принцессу и отправляйтесь цвести и рдеть в пастельной весне.

Right in the beginning I must confess that it’s quite a messed up post which could be better called a fashion melting pot. As you probably already got I have developed an untreatable obsession with details. Accessories, particular colours, asymmetrical hemlines, rare fabric combinations, all that fascinates my mind.  And even though my 5 (most likely all 6) senses are utmost tensed in order not to miss any bit of LFW,  I just could not resist posting the NYFW streetstyle photos which astoundingly accentuate details and hold my imagination captured in delight.  

Besides, here comes my own week through the instagram lens. As I said, all in all this post is a fashion melting pot.

Сразу, с самого начала признаюсь, что этот пост напоминает больше модную кашу-малу, нежели чем “классический” в понимании любого нормального блогера пост.  Очевидно, что у меня развилась какая-то неизлечимая одержимость деталями: аксессуары, необычные цвета, ассиметричный крой, редкие такни-  полностью захватили мой ум. И хотя мои 5 (а более вероятно все 6) чувств до предела напряжены, дабы не упустить ни одной мельчайшей подробности Недели Моды в Лондоне, я все-таки не могу не выложить несколько фотографий, снятых на улицах Нью-Йорка во время недели моды, закончившейся несколько дней назад. Фотографии, празднующие победу деталей над всем миром моды, поразили и восхитили мое воображение. Помимо, несколько быстрых снимков моей прошедших 7 дней, сделанных через объектив инстаграма. В итоге, как я и обещала, модная каша-мала.

Fall 2012 trend: PrePPy Woman by J Crew

Today is the last day of the New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2012 which has shaken and stirred the lives of all who care at least a little bit about the fashion world. The week surprised with numerous shows of which some were divine, others made a noticeable step forward into the fashion evolution and the third made my eyebrows rose sceptically. Among my favourites this season were the indescribably beautiful Marchesa collection, the Proenza Schouler astounding collection officially setting the oversized look trend, the extremely feminine and sensual Oscar de la Renta designs, Theyskens’ Theory’s rock chic and Michael Kors’ "city meets country" glamorous practicality. While my picks from NYFW Fall 2012 and thoughts about it could be found on the Fashion-Bridge Facebook official page (updated daily), being a blogger I prefer to stay a bit closer to the reality and talk here about one of the biggest street style favourites – J Crew.

The J Crew Fall 2012 collection has definitely reflected Jenna Lyons’ preppy ideology and street style orientation. The collection is all about going full power: bright vivid colours, loads of different prints, and a huge variety of fabrics. And although some mono looks were presented, “mix” & “layer” are definitely the dominating verbs in the dictionary of the brand. In the Fall of 2012 classical preppiness meets femininity of the 50-ies: pointy toe stilettos, elbow length gloves and narrowed cat eye sunnies found their place next to the schoolboy blazer, white button-ups and hacking jackets. Pants which became a signature of the brand made quite a statement: different colours, patterns, fabrics yet all slightly cropped.

I personally would gladly wear all the pieces besides the mustard colour ones which I find everything but flattering.

Сегодня последний день Нью-Йоркской Недели Моды Осень 2012, которая встряхнула и взболтала всех, кто хоть сколько-нибудь интересуется модой. Неделя удивила множеством показов, некоторые были изысканы, другие сделали шаг вперед в эволюции моды, а третьи заставили мои брови скептически приподняться. Бесспорными фаворитами этого сезона для меня стали божественно красивая коллекция Marchesa, напоминающая тканями, силуэтами и узорами изображения греческого Олимпа и Древнего Рима; истинно завораживающая коллекция Proenza Schouler , официально возгласившая “oversized look” лидирующим трендом осени; невероятно женственная и чувственная коллекция Oscar de la Renta, а также рок шик  Theyskens’ Theory и практичная роскошь от Michael Kors. Мою выборку и мнение об этих и других коллекция Недели Моды в Нью-Йорке можно найти на официальной странице Fashion-Bridge  в Facebook. Здесь же, будучи блоггером, я предпочитаю говорить о коллекциях более близких уличной моде, а именно её фаворите J Crew.

Осеняя коллекция J Crew очевидно явилась отражением стиля preppy её создателя Jenna Lyons, а также ориентации на уличную моду в противовес высокой моде. Коллекция отобразила идею “в полную силу”, в изобилии представив сочные краски, замысловатые узоры и различные ткани. И хотя несколько моно ансамблей было представлено во время показа, очевидно, что глаголы “смешивать” и “ наслаивать”  являются доминирующими словами в словаре бренда. Осенью 2012 образ preppy в его классическом понимании встретится с женственностью 50-ых: пиджаки а-ля “школьная форма”, белые рубашки и свитера найдут свое место рядом с остроносыми туфлями, перчатками до локтя и узкими очками-бабочками.  Брюки, ставшие знаковым элементом в коллекциях J Crew, заявили о себе в этом сезоне яркими цветами, многочисленными узорами и различными тканями, однако укороченная длинна стала их объединяющим элементом.

Лично я с удовольствием бы открыла дверцы своего шкафа для всех предметов коллекции, за исключением тех, что в горчичном цвете. Я нахожу горчичный одним из немногих цветов, который должен быть вычеркнут раз и навсегда из палитры моды.
