Interior: My Home. The Living Room

Already for quite some time I was planning to introduce you to my apartment. Now it seems to be a perfect moment. My previous post was dedicated to a reflection of the African theme in clothes. It’ll be only fair to dedicate this one to the elements of African cultures and countries used in interiors. And the best place to start with is my own living room which is stuffed with items brought from all corners of the world.   We bought the painting above  a few years ago during a trip around Cuba. (No need to mention that Cuba does not belong to the African continent. I know it. But the painting fits just perfectly in the "african" interior of the living room).

Photo’s 1&2 – the coffee table with some books on. I am not allowed to have only fashion related books there. Hence you see this pretty mix.
Photo’s 3-7 – being true book warms we have shelves and shelves full of books. Here and there you see random book holders, figures, candles, etc. purchased all around the world.
Photo 8 – a bouquet, a result of me playing a florist
Photo 9 – a coral wall, the painting is a present from my boyfriend’s mom
Photo 10 – an old basket bought on an African market
Photo 11– my bonsai
Photo 12 – a bar table
