Suit, no --> Button up

I always like to see how different people incorporate this or that trend in their wardrobe. And of course if I notice something new channelling on the runways  or something not-so-new but which I totally adore seen on the streets, I’m immediately rushing  to dig into my closet to find out whether I can somehow interpret the trend I like. The website WhoWhatWear running by the two unbelievably talented and definitely strikingly stylish ladies, Katherine Power and Hillary Kerr is a huge source of inspiration and most up-to-date information about the world of fashion. Few weeks ago “button ups” took a spot of their story. I can’t agree more with the WWW team that a button-up is an absolute essential for any wardrobe due to its versatility. It can be transformed to adopt any season’s trend. I totally adore how all these fashionable ladies chosen for the style board wore this “must-have” piece.
Soooo, logically… I went to my bottomless closet to see what do I have there. After spending quite some quality time going through my stuff I found a few cute pieces which are definitely my life-savers.
1.      Zara deep blue silk shirt
2.      Asos butterflies silky shirt
3.      Zara classy white silk shirt
4.      Sinequanone  deep purple silk bow shirt
5.      Zara ruffled collar silk shirt
These button-ups are irreplaceable for me. Whether I wear one of them tucked into a pair of tailored pants or flowing with a pair of skinny jeans, whether I add it to a pencil skirt or shirts in a bright hue, whether I keep it laidback or layer a few necklaces to give a boho vibe – a button-up always looks incredibly stylish and adds the perfect amount of sophistication to any outfit.
As you’ve probably noticed I tend to have more simple, classy pieces in one color, though I totally enjoy creating a youthful and fun outfit by wearing a patterned button-up.
Well, if my message is not clear yet I just say it out loud: Go and Get One! And QUICK!

One of my fav button ups
