Inspired by Bonnie & Clyde

They loved, they killed, the lived, they died. Notorious Bonnie & Clyde played by Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty in the legendary movie of Arthur Penn brought back the romanticism and the beauty of America turbulent 30st. Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow have gained not only a heroic image but a status of fashion icons thanks to the breathtaking performance and stunning looks of the actors.
Midi skirt on the fragile figure of Dunaway, blond bob, beret and cigar…what can be more attractive? Beatty’s colorful ties, white fedora and a magnetizing smile gained forever an association with a reckless yet so darn charming criminal.

This season midi skirts have returned, fedoras found their come back, frail sexiness and a hint of seductive danger (seen LV F/W 2011/2012 catwalk) tickles our nerves as never before. Bonnie Parker’s look is officially back.
However I see the modern Bonnie edgier, with a twist. She wears stud shoes, leather gloves and grungy necklaces. Yet there is this unmistakable vibe of femininity, sexiness and allure of pre-war America.
